About

We’re the Taylors and our heartfelt mission is to connect others with the ocean, uplift with positive vibes, educate and inspire wonder for the ocean! The Taylors of Living Porpoisefully - aka Everett

As a husband and wife pair with a love for the ocean (and a 12-year ocean education teaching background), we’re incredibly passionate about sharing the sea’s wonders.

So, we stepped beyond the classroom with a big dream of writing & illustrating a children’s book about the ocean..and now we’re working on number 5!  (Check out books 1-4 here.)

You’ll find us under the pen name “Everett” Taylor, after our grandpop who meant so much to us.

We believe learning should be an adventure: full of fun, curiosity, and wonder.  That’s why our books are packed with charisma & vivid colors, adventurous tales that entertain, and incredible ocean animals & habitats that teach!  (Available on Amazon).

We don’t stop at books, either.  We love to extend the learning with activities, printables, crafts, lessons, and family fun — you’ll find all sorts of free goodies to browse on our blog.

Oh, and you’ll also notice that our posts celebrate living in a way that’s full of joyful purpose.  We believe in uplifting others with happy vibes, being kind to others & our environment, and making a positive impact by being true to your passions.

We can’t think of a better way to live than porpoisefully!

Stay connected and sign up here to get our emails delivered to your inbox, so that you’re always kept in the loop with our latest posts!

We also regularly post inspirational beach photos & videos on Instagram and Facebook (@LivingPorpoisefully), so follow us there to get your waves fix!  We’re also on Pinterest and Twitter for even more sea-inspired good vibes. (@LivePorpoiseful)

Our hope is to inspire a new generation of ocean-lovers in all that we do, no matter the age.  We hope that you’ll be a part of this: share what you love here with your friends, family, and on social media!

Live porpoisefully,

The Taylors

  1. I really love your blog! You have been an inspiration in creating an ocean themed classroom. Today I began purchasing some of the items I will use in my classroom next year! 🙂 I am from Florida currently living in Colorado. I have to say that I miss my warm weather and palm trees. All of your DIY creations would not only be a great add on to my classroom but to my home as well. Thank you for your posts and detailed work.

    1. Jen, thank you for your note – this means so much to us! We’re so glad that you’re a part of the shared journey of keeping the ocean close in spirit and that our blog and DIY creations are helping with that. Have fun making your classroom a place to take you to the ocean everyday, and keep in touch! 🙂
